Charasmatic and cozy plot situated in St helena bay!
Description
St Helena Bay is famous for being the place where Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama made landfall in 1497 and became the first European to meet the indigenous Khoi-Khoi. Nowadays renowned for its snoek run, plentiful fishing and agreeable climate, where dolphins and whales are regular visitors and the bird life is prolific. Pristine deserted beaches and the magnificent carpets of Spring wild flowers make this a nature lovers’ paradise. Its cobalt blue Atlantic waters are studded with granite boulders and it is reportedly the only bay in Southern Africa where one can watch the sun rise and set over the water. Busy fishing harbours support the local community and add to that typical West Coast flavour of bokkoms, salt, sea air and fynbos. (by: Helen West, Elm Tree Guest Farm, St Helena Bay) St Helena Bay – also known as “Die Agterbaai” – is one of the world’s prime fishing centres. Fed by the nutrient-rich Benguella current, the waters teem with marine life and provide the livelihood for its coastal inhabitants. Click here to Translate
