Riebeek Kasteel Primary School. Carnegi House – Montessori school and school for small children. Malmesbury – Swartland High School and Swartland Primary School, also CPM. Wellington – Hugo Rust Primary School. Hugenote High School and Hugenote Primary School. School busses to both towns, Wellington and Malmesbury are available from Riebeek West and -Kasteel. Moorreesburg also has a primary- and high school, named Dirkie Uys. Many children from farms are in the schoolhostel.
Vicinity
Only an hour and a half from Cape Town,+- 60 minutes from Stellenbosch, about 40 min. from Paarl, little bit less from Wellington, 30 minutes from Malmesbury and about 25 - 30 minutes to Moorreesburg. Riebeek Kasteel and Riebeek West are the nearest towns, only 5 km from each other. In both towns you’ll have a choice of several excellent coffee shops and restaurants. You can also do a bit of retail therapy or taste and buy the delicious local olives, wine and other products. A few well known places in the Riebeek Valley, is places like RIEBEEK CELLARS, PULPIT ROCK Winery, farms as KLOOVENBURG, HET VLOCK and ALLESVERLOREN. Moorreesburg is the other nearest town and have a bigger business area than the Riebeek Valley. Some suggestions of local activities and sights – birdwatching in Langebaan Lagoon, Canoeing in the Berg River, see flowers in Darling/Hopefield in spring, golf in Malmesbury or Wellington, Hiking in Die Hel or Para and Hang gliding in Porterville etc.
